volunteer
opportunities!
Community Car has a variety
of volunteer opportunities available that you or someone you would
recommend may be interested in. We are looking to fill the following
volunteer positions:
- Car washing: We wash and vacuum our fleet approximately twice
per month at the full service Octopus Car Wash locations across
Madison. We are looking for someone to maintain 3-5 of our vehicles,
taking up approximately 3-4 hours per month. Any non-member volunteers
will need to provide their driver's license information so we
can add you to our insurance policy.
- Event assistants: Community Car participates in and tables many
events throughout the year, including University of Wisconsin
orientations, student organization events, neighborhood fairs
and festivals, as well as hosts our own events such as Get Your
Green On in March, Earth Day in April, etc. We are looking for
someone to assist in tabling these events, including set up and
take down as well as customer-facing interaction.
Community Car members who
volunteer earn discounts on their membership plan depending on their
length of monthly commitment.
